Insects
Insects, love 'em or hate 'em we can't do without them. Without dung beetles (they live in the UK too) we would all be under six foot of cow pats. Those wasps that ruin our picnics and sting without remorse kill millions of aphids which destroy crops, and woodlice and other hurry-scurries break down those trillions of leaves which fall from the trees each autumn. Others however are a joy to behold, like butterflies, moths, damselflies, dragonflies, ladybirds and others which escape my memory at the moment. In this section of my wildlife garden site I will tell you what visits my garden and how I attract them in order to, in turn, attract higher animals which make my garden a mini wildlife habitat. I will be constantly adding more information and pictures so please keep calling back.
