The Wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus) is the most wide spread and most common mouse in the UK. It is also sometimes called the long tailed field mouse. The Wood mouse is a relative of the larger and rarer Yellow necked mouse which is distinguished by a pale yellow band around its neck.
The Comma butterfly is a beautiful and interesting butterfly which was once seen only in the south of England but which is now common throughout England and Wales.
The Blue tit is a common garden bird throughout the UK and is just 11.5 cm (41/2 inches) long. They are very lively, colourful and acrobatic bird and loves peanuts, fat balls and coconuts.
